The decision to commission a large scale painting to fit within the specially designed recessed area of the board room was made after discussions with the President about the type of painting that would best reflect this bank's longstanding commitment to its home town.

This convincingly representational 11 foot long painting by David Dunlop is actually a composite of several views of the green and surrounding areas and landmarks of the town and includes, importantly, the original building where the first bank in this group was housed.
